We Build Here

Collaborators ⟡

Each project is led by Artistic Director Ashley Peevor and shaped by a bespoke team of collaborators, choreographers, costume designers, technologists, horticulturists, craftspeople, and scientists, assembled to meet the unique demands of the work. This model allows Unseen Between to challenge and expand how art is made, experienced, and shared.

Ashley Peevor
Artistic Director

Artistic Director and founder of
Unseen Between. He has been working as an artist since 2012 and work has been exhibited across the UK, in America, Germany, Portugal and Ireland. His work has been seen on the Guardian, Timeout, Big Issue, Metro, BBC TV, American breakfast TV among many others. Alongside this he also an Associate Lecturer at Bath Spa University. He is a big advocate for supporting the next generation of artists and creatives into the industry and supports this through a mentoring programme for early career artists.

Nikki Watson
Choreographer

Nikki Watson has more than 15 years’ experience in creating, producing, and managing participatory and professional dance and theatre productions. Nikki founded pioneering dance charity CoDa Dance in recognition of how taking part in dance could positively impact people, like her mother, living with a neuro-disability. More than 10 million people in the UK live with a neurological condition and CoDa works with neuro-disabled people and their support networks to create immersive and interactive dance experiences and performances that get people moving, and challenge perceptions of difference and disability. Nikki brings unrivalled experience at the intersection of technology, live performance, and accessibility.

Steve Symonds
Creative technologist

Steve is a performer, instrument maker and creative technical whizz. He makes noisy interfaces to exhibit and play with. Steve began working with Ashley on an interactive sound performance the Lost Opera and is now Unseen / Between first port of call for anything sound or interactive based development. He is currently a music technology doctoral researcher at the Leverhulme Trust funded be.AI Centre (University of Sussex, Brighton, UK). Steve brings a exceptional understanding of technology, sound and how to push an idea to the beyond.

Workshops

Alongside the creation of new work we also run a range of workshops that connect groups to a wide range of artists and creatives to deliver exciting projects. These sessions are tailored around the groups we work with and we facilitate a huge range of creative outcomes for a diverse range of ages and abilities. Previous workshops have focused on developing creative communities, learning new skills and expanding the use of technology within the creative arts.

Over 12 years of experience
With over a decade of creative practice, we have delivered workshops that push the boundaries of technology and imagination. From projection mapping and inflatable architecture to interactive installations and growing living sculpture, each experience invites communities to experiment, collaborate, and create in unexpected ways.
Inclusivity & Accessibility
Our workshops are built for everyone. We design adaptable, inclusive experiences that remove barriers and invite participation from people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, making creativity truly open and shared.
Technology Meets Imagination

We combine digital innovation with performance and design thinking. We explore new ways of interacting, storytelling, and connecting with the world around us.

Memorable, Immersive Experiences
Our workshops offer exceptional, uniquely creative experiences that empower communities to experiment and play in ways they never thought they could. By blending technology, performance, and participation, we create spaces where everyone has a part to play.

Commission Us

We are always on the lookout for the next big project to flex our imagination and we have a world-class team ready to make it happen. All of our projects, no matter their size, begin with a single idea.

But ideas only grow when they’re supported by people and organisations who share our belief in making creativity accessible, meaningful, and impactful. Every collaboration helps turn imagination into real experiences that shape how people see and enjoy the world around them.

Supporting our work doesn’t always mean funding. Sometimes it’s offering rehearsal space, providing an event or audience to test new ideas, supporting an application with in-kind help, or opening doors to new communities and connections. Every bit of support helps bring our projects to life.If you’re interested in talking through an idea, hearing more about our past projects, or simply saying hello, we’d love to start the conversation. We always have exciting concepts simmering away, just waiting for that spark to ignite them.
